The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is the successor to NEBS Management and ISM following their merger.

As part of the City & Guilds Group, ILM qualifications strike a balance between business and individual needs by focusing on the development of modern leadership and managerial skills.

Level 5 Introductory Executive Diploma in Management

Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements, but participants should be practising or potential first line managers / supervisors.

Structure, Content and Assessment

  • 34 hours guided learning – usually workshop based
  • 3 core segments, 7 optional segments
  • Assessment - work-based assignment and 7 segment reviews

ILM Membership
Candidates who achieve the ILM Introductory Certificate in First Line Management will be eligible to apply for ILM Affiliate Membership (AInstLM). Those who achieve the ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management are eligible for ILM Associate Membership (AMInstLM).
