The following qualifications are delivered through workshops either in-house or off-site for groups of approx. 10 employees. The qualifications are accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management (part of City & Guilds).

 

Course Name
Institute of Leadership & Management Level 2
Introductory Certificate in Team Leading
Who is it for For those people working in formal teams or groups, whether as team leaders/co-ordinators, or team members. The qualifications are equally suitable for members of self-managed teams.
What does it involve?

Minimum 22 guided learning hours including assessment, which may take up to a maximum of one year. Six Segments (includes one mandatory Segment – The Role of the Team Leader) from the four Modules: Team Leading Skills; Getting the Work Done; Leading People in Teams; Communicating with People.

Certificate in Team Leading
Who is it for For those people working in formal teams or groups, whether as team leaders/co-ordinators, or team members. The qualifications are equally suitable for members of self-managed teams.
What does it involve?

Minimum 65 guided learning hours excluding assessment, which may take from two weeks to a maximum of two years to complete. Twenty Segments (includes twelve mandatory Segments) from the four Modules: Team Leading Skills; Getting the Work Done; Leading People in Teams; Communicating with People.

Introductory Certificate in First Line Management
Who is it for For those people who are likely to become first line managers (team leaders of supervisors) or who are already in post but have had little or no formal training.
What does it involve?

Minimum 34 guided learning hours excluding assessment to be completed within one year. Ten Segments (includes three mandatory Segments – Problem Solving Skills; Planning Change; Using Information for Decisions) from ten Modules: Managing Self; Managing Skills & Competency; Understanding Organisations; Managing Change; Managing Activities; Managing Resources; Developing People; Managing People; Communication; Managing Information.

Institute of Leadership & Management Level 3
Certificate in First Line Management
Who is it for For those people who are likely to become first line managers (team leaders of supervisors) or who are already in post but have had little or no formal training.
What does it involve?

Minimum 160 guided learning hours excluding assessment, normally completed within one year to a maximum of three years. Fifty Segments (includes thirty mandatory Segments from ten Modules: Managing Self; Managing Skills & Competency; Understanding Organisations; Managing Change; Managing Activities; Managing Resources; Developing People; Managing People; Communication; Managing Information.
